Join us in this key opportunity:Visual Resources Cataloger (PT, Temporary position) The position will be responsible for the original cataloging and subject indexing of digital images into the MDID software, verification of personal and corporate names and subject headings using standard thesauri, working with VRC staff to prioritize digitization projects, assist faculty in the use of the collections and compile various statistics. The selected candidate will possess a Bachelors degree, preferably in art history, photography, or graphic design. A demonstrated knowledge of current cataloging and metadata issues. Experience with library catalogs or databases is required; experience cataloging images, photographs, or other visual resources, using relevant rules, standards, and thesauri, is preferred. An ability to work effectively both independently and in teams, with great attention to detail is required. Outstanding written and oral communications and interpersonal skills are essential.
