Assistant Librarian, Reference - (Part-time position, 30 hours/week)

Job Summary: 
Provide reference, instruction, and circulation services to faculty, 
students and GMILCS consortium visitors.

Responsibilities: 
The Reference Librarian is responsible for providing reference and circulation services, monitoring reserves and is responsible for the library in the absence of the Library Director. In collaboration with the Library Director manages part-time student assistants and is occasionally responsible for information literacy sessions. Develops tutorials, research guides, reference help, etc. to be posted and used on the NHIA library web site and assists with the maintenance and development of the visual resources library. Other duties as assigned.

Relationships:
Reports to the Director of the Library. Supervises and trains work-study students. Interacts with staff, faculty, and students.

Qualifications: 
MLIS or equivalent from an ALA- accredited Institution. Excellent communication skills and pleasant demeanor with experience in academic reference, and knowledge of electronic resources and instructional technology. Background in Art or Art History and experience with visual learners desired.
