• August 8-10: "Reference Renaissance 2010: Inventing the Future", a conference sponsored by BCR held in Denver, Colorado.

September

• September 1: DEADLINE to submit a first draft of an article for the Spring 2011 issue of Art Documentation. See the contributor guidelines for more information.


• September 15-17: ARLIS/Australia & New Zealand's (ARLIS/ANZ) 2010 conference, "The Exquisite Line: Balancing the Old and New in Arts Libraries." The conference will be held in Darwin, Australia, at the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory.


• September 23-24: ARLIS/NA mid-year Executive Board meeting in Santa Fe, New Mexico.


• September 23-24: Art Museum Libraries Symposium convened by the Phillips Library of the Peabody Essex Museum.

• November 4, 2010: Mountain West chapter's Virtual Conference, "Adapt, Evolve, Transform: Current Issues in Art Information." Details forthcoming.


• November 10-11: Computers and the History of Art conference in London. The conference will explore the role of digital technologies in the disruption of art history and the profound changes in the way art is displayed, consumed and studied.

2011 Events

• January 13-16: "Word, Image, Text, Object," College Book Art Association biennial conference at Indiana University, Bloomington.


• March 24-28: ARLIS/NA 39th annual conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota. "Collaboration: Building Bridges in the 21st Century," a joint conference with the Visual Resources Assocation (VRA).
