ARLIS/NA Membership Approves Bylaws Revision October 10, 2022

On September 9, 2022, the ARLIS/NA membership was asked to vote on revisions to the society’s bylaws that would amend the composition of the Nominating Committee and provide language to address removal, resignation, and replacement of elected and appointed board members. On October 10, 2022, the ARLIS/NA Secretary reviewed and verified the votes submitted during the voting period.
99% of the returned ballots (unique votes by ARLIS/NA members) voted in favor of the proposed amendments to the ARLIS/NA Bylaws, Article X, Section 1 to revise the composition of the Nominating Committee as presented. As such, the motion carries.
98% of the returned ballots (unique votes by ARLIS/NA members) voted in favor of the proposed amendments to the ARLIS/NA Bylaws, Article VII, Section 1; Article VIII, Section 4; and Article IX, Sections 3-8 which address removal, resignation, and replacement of elected and appointed board members as presented. As such, the motion carries.
The bylaws have been revised to reflect approval of the proposed revisions.
