The Art Libraries Society of North America (ARLIS/NA) is pleased to announce the recipients of the ARLIS/NA travel awards for 2020. Originally designated for awardees to attend the 2020 annual conference in Saint Louis, Missouri, the cancellation of that conference due to the pandemic will allow for awards to be used for a future ARLIS/NA conference.

The Conference Attendance Award was created to encourage participation in ARLIS/NA by assisting conference attendance by committee members, chapter officers, and moderators, of divisions, sections, and round tables. The 2020 recipient is Maggie Murphy.

The Student Conference Attendance Award was created to encourage participation in ARLIS/NA by assisting students considering a career in art librarianship or visual resources to attend the annual ARLIS/NA conference. The 2020 recipient is Veronica McGurrin.

The Student Diversity Award for Conference Attendance was created to encourage multicultural students considering a career in art librarianship or visual resources to participate in the activities of ARLIS/NA. The 2020 recipient is Carol Ng-He.

The Howard Karno Award was created to encourage professional development of art librarians who work to advance the study of Latin American art through interaction with ARLIS/NA colleagues and conference participation. The 2020 recipient is Stephanie Noell.

The Judith A. Hoffberg Student Award for Conference Attendance was created to encourage students considering a career in art librarianship or visual resources to participate in the activities of ARLIS/NA. The 2020 recipient is Lauren Scanlon.

The members of the ARLIS/NA Travel Awards Sub-Committee were: Katie Keller (chair), Larissa Garcia, Amy J. Hunsaker, Megan Lotts, Ashley Peterson, Mackenzie Salisbury, Alyssa Vincent, and Marianne Williams.
