PDC Bulletin: A quarterly update from the ARLIS/NA Professional Development Committee
The PDC Bulletin is compiled by the Professional Development Committee (PDC) to spread the word about professional development resources and opportunities for art information professionals. Professional Development Committee news:
- The Mentoring Subcommittee is seeking participants for the 2017-2018 Yearlong Mentoring Program. More information for prospective mentors is available on the Mentor Application Form. For more information on participating as a mentee, see the Mentee Application Form. Deadline for both is Oct. 5.
- Call for papers for the New Voices in the Profession panel (ARLIS/NA 2017 in New Orleans) will be coming soon to arlis-l!
- NEW in the Learning Portal: NDSR Art webinars, Lunchtime Chat transcript Makerspaces and Alternative Modes of Outreach and Engagement, August 10 RISS Journal Club transcript.
- NDSR Art: Host institution applications due Oct. 31.
- Nominations due Oct. 24 for the ARLIS/NA Distinguished Service Award.
- ARLIS/NA Ohio Valley Chapter Fall Meeting, Nov. 3-4, Kent, Ohio.
- ARLIS/NA Southeast Chapter Conference, Nov 16-18, Sarasota, FL.
- Apply for a Conference Travel Award for ARLIS/NA 2017! Deadline is Oct. 31.
- Samuel H. Kress Foundation Award for International Travel includes two categories of awards: for European librarians to attend the ARLIS/NA conference and for ARLIS/NA members to attend IFLA. Round 1 applications due Nov. 21.
- Co-sponsored by ARLIS/NA, the Kress Foundation and Digital Library Forum GLAM Cross-Pollinator Awards are accepting applications for travel awards for VRA and AIC.
